Before I Am going to Kunthi Madhava, I would like to tell you the Pancha Madhava's Temples in India. In our Hindu Mythological stories there are five Madhava Temple's. One is Bindhu Madhava Temple in Varanasi, near Ganga Ghat. Second one is Venu Madhava Temple in Prayaga. Third one is Kunthi Madhava Temple in Pitapuram, A.P. Fourth one is Sethu Madhava Temple in Rameswarm near sethu madhava teertham, and finally fifth one is Sundhara Madhava Temple at Thiruvanantha Puram, near Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple. Kerala .

Kunthi Madhava: Kunthi Madhava Temple is Vaishnavaites famous temple. It is located in Pitapuram, near the Kukuteswara Swamy Temple in E.G. Dist, A.P. The Pitapuram is very small and cool village. The River Godawari is nearer to this place.

Kunthi Madhava Swamy In our ancient story, Veda Vyas Maharshi has been to pitapuram, to visit the Kukuteswara Swamy Temple, later he came to Madhava Temple. He has seen on his Divya Drushti to find the history of this temple. He told that, this temple was established and built by "Lord Indra" and it was worshipped by Sri Rama in Treta Yuga (In the time of Vanavas) and Kunthi, Pandavas in Dwapara Yuga. Mainly Kunthi Maha Devi has performed lot of poojas in this temple. From then onwards this Madhava Temple is known as Kunthi Madhava Kshetra. From that day onwards the temple has recognized as Kunthi Madhava Swamy Temple.

Godess Rajya Lakshmi, is the wife of Kunthi Madhava Swamy. Especially on Friday's ladies are performing "Kumkum Pooja" in this ancient temple. Every day evenings ladies are reading Vishnu, Lalitha, Laxmi Sahasra Nama parayans. Every year in the month of Magha Masam, Kunthi Madhava Kalyanam Celbrations are going. In Our Hindu Mythological stories Many Saints and Maharshi's has visited to this temple. There are Upalayas of Lord Goda Devi and Bhagwad Sri Ramanujacharyulu.

In the season of Dhanurmasam(starts from mid of December to January 15th), in this period people chant the Thiruppavai at early morning, and there are perporming important poojas. In Pitapuram there are famous temples, one is Kukuteswara Swamy, second is Puruhoothika Sakthi Peetam, third is Lord Dattatreya Temple and finally Sripada Srivallabha Janmasthanam Temple. In the month of Karthika Masam all the people are visit this temples.
